Bare chassis. Everything removed, brakes repaired, minor rust cleaned. Painted

Body delivered by Nick and lifted on. Dead esay

Hang everthing on to get an idea of how it might look

The finished article

Note the spacesaver!

Looks lower in the flesh

Completed, mot'd but small tyres

Cut down dash looks good. See I even taxed it

The original tank was goosed so I had to come up with an alternative. Easily done but with style. Now replaced as I needed load space

Completed test fit. everything loosely in place ready to take apart and powdercoat

Completed test fit note the original dash. Then I tried to get in a press the pedals!

Completed test fit

Rear light barcket high and out the way of water, debris and rocks

Motorbike wing mirror. Many thanks to Ride On in Glasgow. Luckily they came ready scuffed!

Remember to use spreader plates beind the panel, the mirrors take a baashing in the bushes

Motorbike wing mirrors attached to bulkhead

Be sure to use spreader plates behind as your feet tend to hit them as you get in and out

Next stage. Large tyres, CB and Jerry can for fuel tank

I had no load space so the keg had to go

Here is the bare chassis mid prep

Note the CB on the steering support and the flyscreen. Helmet optional

Recovery point was fabricated and offset to avoid the chassis tube bending

New recovery point and grill cover looks good and protects the rad

Load are with the jerry can

Webber carb snorkelled through the bulkhead The filter is behind the clocks but still gets wet!

a closer look at the back end

I bent the throttle pedal up so I could get to it better with my wellies on

Rear recovery point

note hollow tube. This is a known weakness and a solid bar is about to slipped in.

New winch mount with winch fitted - grill still being made

Left hand side of the mount, note how it is welded onto the chassis leg. The steering box had to moved to allow access

A look at the mount side on to the chassis

The right hand side of the winch mount

The marinised alternator and mount as seen from below
